Rawhiti is set in large grounds a few minutes easy walk to the Village cafe’s, restaurants, historic cinema and specialty shops. We are in a residential neighbourhood but guests enjoy watching the sheep in the empty section in front of us.
Ninety minutes south of Christchurch on the main South Island scenic route we are ideally situated for a break in your journey between all the main tourist destinations. Take an extra day to enjoy the peaceful surroundings, relax in our garden, explore the attractive Village of Geraldine or walk in the nearby Talbot Forest. The popular Peel Forest walking tracks are a fifteen minute drive away. We are a comfortable return day trip to Mt.Cook or Lake Tekapo. For the many local activites available see our activities page.
We are well used as a relaxing rest stop for cyclists who love our comfortable beds.
Rooms are spacious with very comfortable fully made up beds. Two rooms have queen size beds, two twin rooms, a single room and two share rooms. We take a maximum number of sixteen people.
A large guest lounge, sunroom, fully equipped kitchen facilities and a BBQ area add to your comfort and enjoyment. Even when full there is plenty of room to spread around.
